Wiwi and Novia, the most wonderful couple that I met in Indonesia

Grampa(80 y/o) shares stories about his crazy food hunt on a motorbike through the killing Jakarta traffic.

Wiwi and Novia are a young couple who are not only good-looking and successful business people but they also have a big and caring heart for other people. My mum and me spent a lot of time with them and every time if we just talk about good food, they will send their driver to send us the food that we fancy.

They are active, social and sporty people, look at least 25 years younger than their chronological age. Their parents are also very humourous and entertaining, grampa is still crazy enough to ride a motor cycle through the catastrophic Jakarta traffic at the age of 80. Wish all Indonesians were like you!

Life in Melati Mas and Tai Chi at Medika Hospital

Grocery vendors in Melati Mas sell about everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, tofu, tempeh, chicken and fish. I was quite impressed by this energetic and humourous young woman. If you buy prawns in Indonesia they will peel it for you.

Everyday I joined a group of Tai Chi practitioners and we practiced nearly every Saturday in either the Medika or Eka Hospital in BSD City in the Tanggerang area. Indonesian groups are a little bit more restrictive than their Western counterparts. Even just in normal exercise, they prefer to see you wearing their uniform.

Bandar Jakarta Seafood Restaurant

Wiwi and Novia took mum and me to a very nice place in Alam Sutra TAnggerang. It is opposite Omni Hospital and consists of a couple of good restaurants and bakeries. On weekends you will find the place packed with families going for a little outing. The seafood restaurant Bandar Jakarta is very well organised with a cosy atmosphere.

At ground level there are huge tanks of various kinds of lobsters, giant prawns, small and huge sharks and various types of seafishes. You can just go and pick the type of seafood that you fancy and choose from a variety of how you want them to be cooked:" grilled, fried, sauteed in oyster sauce, chili sauce, battered etc". You deliver your seafood to the counter, tell the staff about the cooking mode and then go to the tastefully designed quarters upstairs and get served by sexy, intelligent and charming waitresses in short pants or skirts
